What Lampfee does
The same lamp can cost tens of euros more in one shop than in the next, and the price moves from week to week. Most lamps also come in several colours, sizes and fittings that look alike in a small photo. Lampfee puts the prices side by side. Each lamp has one page with all its versions, such as black or brass, 30 or 45 cm across, E27 or GU10, a single bulb or a 3-pack, each with its own EAN code or the manufacturer’s model number.
A price belongs to exactly one version: we never compare a 3-pack of GU10 bulbs with a single bulb, or a white shade with a black one. We only show shop prices once we have checked them for the exact version; if the version is ambiguous, we show no price rather than guess.
Some lamps are not on Lampfee. Smart lighting, such as Philips Hue or WiZ, is on our sister site Domotto, and lamps from design houses are on Lofvi. Work lights, torches, Christmas lights and loose lamp parts are not shown either.
Independent
Lampfee doesn’t sell anything and isn’t affiliated with the brands on this site. We use brand names to describe what is in the catalogue, not to suggest a partnership.
If Lampfee later earns money from links to shops or from advertising, this will be stated clearly next to the link or placement concerned. The order of products and prices is not for sale.
Not a test lab
We don’t test lamps ourselves. We show what the manufacturer states, such as the fitting, the wattage, the light output in lumen, the colour temperature in kelvin, the IP rating, whether the lamp is dimmable, the energy class and the dimensions. How light a room feels also depends on the walls, the ceiling height and where the lamp hangs, so we never promise more than the numbers say.
